A macabre killing took place in Florida on December 16, when a homeless man was killed with a hatchet and had his eye and a part of his brain eaten by his killer. The killing that shocked the world has lead inspectors to 35 year old Tyree Lincoln Smith, who was arrested on Tuesday night on the suspicion of murder.
According to MailOnline the Bridgeport Police in Connecticut reported that Mr. Smith was covered in blood the night of the murder and told his cousin that he killed a homeless man with a hatchet and had eaten a piece of his brain and his eye.
According to the Hartford Courant, Tyree allegedly told his cousin ‘the blows to [Angel Gonzalez's] head were so severe that he was able to remove an eye from the man’s head along with pieces of brain matter and a piece of his skull’.
After putting the body parts in a bag Smith allegedly walked to a cemetery where another cousin of his is buried and feasted on them:
“At the cemetery he said he ate the eyeball, which tasted like an oyster, and the brain matter”.
The murder was reported by Mr Smith’s cousin when the decaying body of the victim was found by authorities on Friday. Mr. Smith was taken into custody by police officers without any incidents on Tuesday night.
