Millions admired Apple founder, Steve Jobs for his career in the tech industry. The latest entertainment reports reveal that ‘Two and A Half Men’ star Ashton Kutcher is set to play Steve Jobs in a biographical movie about the life and activity of the tech guru. The upcoming movie will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern and it presents the success story of this influential personality in the 21st century.

Demi Moore’s ex and TV series star, Ashton Kutcher is about to breathe life into the script ‘during a production hiatus in the television series’ (Telegraph). Mr. Kutcher is already familiarized with the tech world and one of his greatest achievements is to gain no less than one million followers on Twitter. Moreover, the 34-year-old actor also invested in successful tech companies like Skype and FourSquare. This is the moment when the Hollywood celeb can show off his fondness for gadgets and modern technology.

According to Variety the shooting of the indie movie entitled ‘Jobs’ will start in May. However, Sony is also planning another biopic having as main subject the life of the tech guru. The audience will have the chance to see the rise of a hippie guy from California to the head of world-wide-known tech company, the Apple.

It’s been a hard day for Kim Kardashian as she’s been pelted with flour while strolling down the red carpet at the launch of True Refection perfume at The London Hotel in West Hollywood. Apparently the ‘attack’ was put together by an unidentified Asian woman, who was arrested by the police after they were called to the scene. The fire department was also called out to the scene to inspect the content of the package, and they determined it was not a dangerous substance but cooking flour.

Kim Kardashian was literally covered in white flour as the bag contained quite a massive amount of the cooking powder which hit her right in the back of the head. The fact that Kim was donning a black and royal blue ensemble didn’t help either as the effect of the flour in contact with her black blazer and shiny black hair was more than visible. The moment when the flour bag hit the Kardashian diva shocked everyone including her mother who rushed to her aid. A security guard escorted Kim to a private room where she changed her blazer and brushed the flour out of her impeccable straight locks.

Although everyone was shocked of the incident, Kim Kardashian reacted like a true diva and exited the red carpet reception area to a private room only to come back ‘sparkling clean’ and cracking a few jokes. The diva said ‘like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that’s a whole lot of translucent powder right there’, but shared that this is indeed  one of the craziest things that has ever happened to her. She told a reporter that:

“That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me.”

Apparently a day out spotting sea lions with a tour group in Cape Town, South Africa, turned terrifying for singer Shakira as she was mistook by a sea lion for a fish and the animal charged at her. The 35 year old said that the incident happened as she tried to get a closer look at the sea creature and climbed onto some rocks, when he jumped out of the water and tried to bite her.

According to Shakira, it was her brother Tony who intervened and saved her from extensive injuries as he jumped in front of her and helped get the animal to back off. The siblings are doing well and escaped with minor injuries after trying to climb on the rocks to safety.

In a little piece written on her Facebook account and called ‘Special Report: Attacked by a Sea Lion’, Shakira shared her terrifying moment with her fans. She wrote:

“..Suddenly, one of them jumped out of the water so fast and impetuously that it got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me. Everyone there screamed, including me. I was paralyzed by fear and couldn’t move, I just kept eye contact with it while my brother “Super Tony” jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast.
We both got our hands and legs scratched by the rocks while trying to protect ourselves. I believe what happened is that it confused the shiny reflection of the blackberry I was taking these pics with, with some sort of fish. It probably thought I was teasing it with food and then taking it away from it
Wow! It’s funny that only half an hour before I was complaining to my guide Andrew that I never get to see wild animals up close on adventurous trips. Oh well, I can’t say that anymore!! Now I’m off to see some penguins! I hope they are a bit more friendly!”

The 8th season of the medical drama series ‘House MD’ will be the last one according to the producers. The medical drama consisting of 177 episodes that has captivated the audience with insightful questions regarding ethics, human nature, logic or emotions will end this May. “After much deliberation, the producers of House M.D. have decided that this season of the show, the 8th, should be the last.

By April this year they will have completed 177 episodes, which is about 175 more than anyone expected back in 2004,” the producers along with the leading actor, Hugh Laurie said in a statement.” The decision to end the show now, or ever, is a painful one, as it risks putting asunder hundreds of close friendships that have developed over the last eight years – but also because the show itself has been a source of great pride to everyone involved,”they continued.

The decision didn’t prove any easier to receive for FOX Broadcasting as Kevin Reilly expressed tremendous regret for the decision: “While it’s with much regret, and a lump in our throats, we respect the decision. For eight seasons, the entire ‘House’ team has given us -and fans around the world -some of the most compelling characters and affecting stories ever seen on television,” he declared expressing the thoughts of many of the fans of the medical drama.

It seems that more and more people are trying to embrace the true personality of their offspring’s by raising them as ‘neutral’. This contemporary way of raising a child has triggered a massive amount of negative comments from people who believe that this can actually turn a child into a ‘freak’ instead of helping the child’s true personality shine through.

One couple that has made it into the media attention is British couple Beck Laxton and Kieran Cooper, who since the moment their child Sasha was born, decided to raise the infant as ‘neutral’, meaning ‘the infant’ as they would call Sasha, was allowed to dress with both boy and girl clothes, play with boy and girl toys and slept into a neutral, yellow color room. The parents who have been confronted with negative remarks about their decision to raise their child, have decided to open up about the subject and get other people to talk about it, hence the child is five years old now and has to go to primary school.

According to DailyMail, Ms. Laxton stated that:
“I wanted to avoid all that stereotyping. Stereotypes seem fundamentally stupid. Why would you want to slot people into boxes?
Gender affects what children wear and what they can play with, and that shapes the kind of person they become. I start to get cross with it if it skews their potential.”

Sasha’s gender was not something that his parents were preoccupied of, but his personality as they reveal that they did not ask about the sex of their baby until about 30 minutes after the baby’s birth to avoid ‘prejudicing his life with gender’. The sex of the infant was also revealed to only a few close relatives and friends until recently when the family was faced with the issue of bringing their offspring to primary school, where they knew keeping his gender a secret wouldn’t be possible anymore, so they decided to reveal to the world that Sasha is a boy.

Although Sasha sometimes wears ‘ruched-sleeved and scalloped-collared shirt from the girl’s uniform list’, he has yet to be bullied or teased by other children. Sasha’s mom revealed that:
“Nobody’s ever mentioned it and I would hope that if they actually said something to Sasha, he’d be confident enough to make a good response.”

Although the child is not being pressured into dressing a certain way, psychologists reveal that the long-tern effects of being raised this way are unknown. Dr Harold Koplewicz, a U.S. child psychiatrist who was asked for his opinion in another similar case, where Canadian parents decided to adopt the ‘neutral’ child raising method, told DailyMail that:
“When children are born, they’re not a blank slate. We do have male brains and female brains. There’s a reason why boys do more rough and tumble play; there’s a reason why girls have better language development skills.”

The latest celebrity news reveal that George Lucas Retires From Hollywood due to numerous complains about Hollywood’s reluctance to fund one of his latest blockbuster featuring a complete black cast. Losing a similar prophetic director would be a great tragedy for Hollywood. However, it seems that the Star Wars creator couldn’t come to terms with the fact that he was forced to finance the production of his latest movie Red Tails without the support of sponsors and studios. George Lucas has been working on this blockbuster for no less than 23 years.

The movie reveals the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of black pilots who fought in World War II. The movie guru collaborated with director Anthony Hemingway and African-American actors like Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr in the production of the blockbuster. Lucas claimed that, “I figured if I could get the prints and ads paid for by the studios that they would release it. I showed it to all of them and they said ‘No. We don’t know how to market a movie like this’.[...] It’s because it’s an all black movie. There’s no major white roles in it at all. It’s one of the first all black action pictures ever made.” (Telegraph.co.uk).

In fact according to the latest public statements of major studios, they didn’t think that there was a foreign market for this movie. George Lucas was offended by the deed of a studio executive who missed the screening of Red Tails. The director confessed to New York Times that, “Isn’t this their job? Isn’t their job at least to see movies? I’m retiring. I’m moving away from the business, from the company, from all this kind of stuff.”. Lucas’ plan is to make low budget and more experimental movies .

One of the most fascinating events of the year the fabulous Diamond Jubilee for the Queen keeps millions on their toes. The Mayor of London promised that the celebration will be “more exciting than the Olympics”. June 3 is the actual date when a seven-mile flotilla of no less than 1,000 boats will gather on the river Thames. The royal barge will carry the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in order to place them in the center of the whole celebration. Other members of the royal family will come on other boats. The flotilla will include steamers, house boats, steamers, dragon boats and naval vessels. Organizers expect almost 1.5 million people to the event.

Boris Johnson claimed that, “Millions of people will be there and perhaps hundreds of millions will be watching around the world, so let’s have a fantastic party? … who knows, it may even be more exciting than the Olympics.”. (Telegraph.co.uk). The pageant master of the spectacular event revealed that it will take 90 minutes for the boats to sail down the river. He also stated that, the extravagant event could  “reclaim the Thames as a theatre of pageantry”. The very first boat will ring a jubilee peal with no less than eight bells all named after the members of the royal family, : Elizabeth, Philip, Charles, Anne, Andrew, Edward, William and Henry. The next crucial moment of the event will be when the 88ft royal row-barge, the Gloriana will be given as a gift to the Queen.

All the vessels will be grouped into ten categories, each will have its own band barge carrying musicians. Battersea Park will also host a dazzling festival curated by Clare Patey and Wayne Hemingway. The festival will grant the visitors with a unique experience as artists will reproduce the portrait of the Queen from angel cakes which will be offered to visitors at the ends of the day. Britain is simply mesmerized by the arrival of this prominent event.
